Belt Feeders

Grasan extensively uses belt feeders to handle material from under bins and especially to handle finer materials that have a tendency to bridge or not flow well. Our belt feeders come in 24" to 60" widths and in lengths up to 25'. All feeders have a tapered, self-relieving bottom opening on the feed hopper and have a manually adjustable strike-off gate. We match the size, HP, and speed of the feeder to the application. We can offer a variety of variable speed drives to accurately control the output of the feeder. All feeders have adjustable rubber flashing and utilize closely spaced idlers to prevent material leakage. We leave generous edge distance from outsides of skirts to edge of belt to prevent operational problems if the belt tracks off center. The gearbox is matched to the often "low-speed, hi-torque" requirement.
